Megan Donelan
Licensed Professional Clinical CounselorI graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have worked in residential eating disorder treatment, community mental health, and school-based mental healthcare providing therapy to families, groups, and individuals. Since then, I’ve transitioned to private practice and provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults via telehealth.
I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and eating/body image concerns, but I have a special passion for working with clients who are new to therapy. I believe providing sessions that feel comfortable, laid-back, and collaborative decreases the stigma around mental healthcare. My clients are encouraged to give me feedback if something isn’t working, set boundaries, and experience the therapeutic relationship as an equal partnership. This allows us to provide a sense of safety for the nervous system, and from there we can create the changes the client is seeking. I use Somatic Experiencing, the Community Resiliency Model and aspects of NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) to resolve incomplete trauma responses and build neural pathways that allow for increased resiliency, a greater sense of wholeness, and an increased capacity for connection with the self and others. My rate is $175 for intake, $150 for follow-up sessions More info at megandonelan.com |
