A Note About Therapy

The decision to seek therapy is not always an easy one.  As human beings, we often hold the misunderstanding that we should be able to handle all of life's struggles on our own or that it is not okay to ask for help. Sometimes we fear judgment, sometimes we fear change, sometimes we're afraid that no one will understand, and sometimes we falsely believe that asking for help shows weakness.
In therapy, many people find they are not alone and that change is possible.  Although the details of each person's experiences are unique, our emotions are universal.  It takes great strength to face and deal with our emotions, and to take the steps to move forward into what seems like the great unknown.
As a therapist, I feel honored when I am invited to share another person's journey toward fulfillment and contentment through the therapeutic process.  Thank you for allowing me to take part in your journey.

Services

Therapy

In therapy, we can address mental health and/or addiction concerns. I am able to provide therapy for clients in person or using telehealth (video session) in the state of Ohio.

NARM Consultation

NARM Experiential Consultations are available to NARM students and trainees.
The NeuroAffective Relational Model of therapy (NARM) is designed to address attachment-based, relational, and developmental trauma or wounding. This type of wounding can be incredibly subtle, and many--if not most--people are unaware that the experiences they’ve had might have resulted in some of the patterns they experience as adults that get in the way of what they want for themselves. These patterns may show up in thoughts, beliefs, emotions, relationships or behaviors, and--prior to beginning to heal these wounds--we often believe these patterns are a part of who we are. Each of these patterns are helpful in the times when we need them, but with this kind of trauma, the patterns become the default. NARM therapy helps to be able to choose when and how to utilize these skills more effectively.
